
On Anzac Day Day all Australians stand to remember the fallen, the injured, and those who returned following service overseas, and at home.

Prior to Federation,Australian and Indigenous Persons, volunteered for Service under the command of the British Imperial Forces. From records, the first Conflict that Australian Personal were involved in began in 18610 in New Zealand against the invasion by the Maori in the North Island, followed by the Boer War in South Africa in 1889.
It is this time of the year again where the Canungra RSL Sub Branch will be holding a Commemorative Service in D.J. Smith Memorial Park.
Timing of the Service are as follows:-
Dawn Service – Commencing at 5.30am
Main Service – March starts at 9.30am Form up at School Car Park with March Off at 9.45am.
Main Service will then commence at 10.00am.
Following the Dawn Service, A Gunfire Breakfast will be held at the Sub Branch and catered for by the Mens Shed Members Cost of the Breakfast will be nominal fee of $10.0
Following the Main Service, Members and the community are welcome to attend the Sub Branch for Camaraderie and snacks.
Road Closure will be again for Christie Street and Kidston Street from 9.15am and parking in these streets will be limited, markers will be in place.
