THE annual International Women’s Day breakfast in Canungra has had a host of inspiring speakers over the years.

It’s just one of the reasons why the breakfast consistently posts a “house full” sign long before the morning arrives.

This year’s event at the picturesque O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard on Tuesday, March 5 will feature Queensland Small Business Commissioner, Dominique Lamb and local businesswoman, Sascha Watson.

The theme this year is Inspire Inclusion.

Dominique’s current high profile role comes after impressive stints as CEO of the National Retailers Association and her volunteer work for the Qld Women’s Legal Service.

Sascha’s talk is bound to be just as interesting as she reflects on her career that spans 25 years in the RAAF, her time as a Registered Nurse at the Beaudesert Hospital ED and recently as a part-time Zumba coach.

“At our planning meeting at the Canungra Chamber of Commerce I offered up a lot of potential names for the second talker on the day and I was floored when they rang me back and said I was selected,” Sascha said.

“While I didn’t even suggest I should be the speaker, it will be great to talk about overcoming the many challenges in my life which included stints with the RAAF in active international war zones.”

President of the Canungra Chamber of Commerce, Nambok Intharangsy, said the breakfast would present a great opportunity for small business owners to hear from Dominique Lamb who is an expert in the field in Queensland.

“I am sure they will be inspired by her,” she said.

The breakfast will run from 7am to 9am and tickets can be obtained through https://www.ticketebo.com.au/canungra-chamber-of-commerce/international-women-s-day-breakfast-canungra-2024.
