The Canungra Owls are thrilled to kick off another exciting soccer season, with an incredible 14 teams taking the field!
Our club is growing stronger each year, boasting nine MiniRoo teams, three Junior teams, and two Senior teams.
One of the most exciting developments this season is the strong retention of MiniRoo players progressing into our junior teams. In previous years, many junior teams would disband after age 12, but this year, we are proud to have an U14 Boys, U15 Girls, and U16 Boys team competing in the South Coast Junior competition league.
This is a fantastic achievement for our club and a testament to the dedication of our players, coaches, and families.
We are also celebrating the return of a Senior Women’s team.
Initially, we struggled for numbers, with just 11 players at nomination, but thanks to the enthusiasm of our community, we now have 18 registered players ready to take the field.
Thanks to the support of our wonderful local sponsors and hours of volunteering in our canteen, our fundraising efforts have allowed us to purchase a Veo camera!
This cutting-edge technology will enable our junior and senior teams to record matches and training sessions without the need for a camera operator, helping players and coaches analyse performances and improve their game.
