SCENIC Rim community members will be invited to have their say on Council’s draft Corporate Plan 2025-2030.

Incorporating feedback from a four-week program of community consultation to be conducted during April and May 2025, the new Corporate Plan will replace both the Community Plan 2011-2026 and the existing Corporate Plan, Scenic Rim 2026.

Scenic Rim Mayor Tom Sharp said it was important that the new Corporate Plan reflects Council and community priorities, providing a clear vision for the region for the next five years.

“It provides a vision for the region, with a clear direction for Council and its partners to work towards, taking account of the opportunities and challenges facing the Scenic Rim, whether social, economic or environmental,” he said.

The draft Corporate Plan identifies six key areas for focus during the next five years:

Planning and place making,

Integrated transport,

Economic development,

Connected communities,

Environment and waste, and

Sport and recreation.

Community consultation on the draft Corporate Plan will take place at three face to face events:

• Wednesday April 30, 2025 at The Centre Beaudesert from 5pm to 7pm

• Thursday May 1, 2025 at Boonah Culture Centre from 5pm to 7pm, and

• Tuesday May 6, 2025 at Vonda Youngman Community Centre, Tamborine Mountain from 5pm to 7pm.

To book a place at one of these events, visit letstalk.scenicrim.qld.gov.au/, email engagement@scenicrim.qld.gov.au or call 07 5540 5111.

Feedback can also be provided through Council’s letstalk.scenicrim.qld.gov.au/ and through hard-copy submissions.
