Lauren Turner-Lorenti and Beth Partington at Eudaimonia Co offer Canungra a different approach to fitness.
Through their holistic stance on health, Eudaimonia offers something for everyone.
“We offer personal training, physiotherapy, exercise physiology along with reformer and matt Pilates, yoga classes and workshops,” Lauren says.
“We also have Beth who runs Stand Well Physio and rehab, a sound healer who plays sound bowls and a reiki therapist who does what we call soul healing and tarot reading.”
Lauren herself is a personal trainer of eight years. She started her journey with strength training, weightlifting and power lifting and as her life has progressed, so has her approach to fitness.
“I’m much more into the rehab and female health aspect of fitness,” she says.
Eudaimonia offers classes one-on-one, or in small or large group classes for all types of people, although their clients are mostly post-partum or part of the aging community.
“We help clients get through post-partum gracefully and then age gracefully,” says Lauren.
“Although we’re not just a female only clinic.”
“We are slowly branching into the men of Canungra; we have a new male only Pilates class. Quite a few of the men who have come to that class are now integrating into others.”
“It’s a safe space for everyone.”
When asked if they think they offer a different approach to fitness, Lauren and Beth enthusiastically responded yes.
“100%. It’s more holistic,” Lauren says.
“It’s about getting to know our clients first then programming and arranging things that actually suit them and support them as well.”
“We’re not just flogging our clients in the gym and making them eat no food.”
“I always say I put the personal in personal trainer, I like that approach the most,” she says.
“If someone’s coming in with a sore shoulder, we’ll look at the whole person rather than just that one thing to really bring in and embrace the holistic approach,” says Beth.
Eudaimonia Co opened its doors in November 2022 and has since grown into the welcoming and holistic gym that it is today.
“Eudaimonia is all about wellbeing and finding your true happiness, that’s what we wanted to embrace.”
