The Canungra Men’s Shed, in conjunction with Zoe’s First Aid Training, completed another First Aid, CPR and Resuscitation course in September.

Approximately 24 students from a number of different not for profit groups in the area, took part in the course, which included those new to First Aid and those renewing their certification for CPR and Resuscitation.

The course was conducted at the Canungra Bowls Club, with morning tea and lunch catered by the Canungra Men’s Shed.

“This particular course was attended by those who are part of not for profit groups only, within our local area. All costs were paid for by a grant from Scenic Rim Regional Council,” said Men’s Shed representative, Ian Taylor.

“It is pleasing to know that we, in our little community have so many First Aid qualified residents.”

“A big thanks goes out to all who attended.”

The Canungra Men’s Shed hopes to run further courses in the future and said the value of having so many people trained in First Aid can not be underestimated.
