THE 2025 Young Driver Education Night will be held on Thursday February 13 at the Canungra Bowls Club commencing at 6.30pm.

This year Senior Constable Toby Fishburn from the Logan Traffic Police will give a presentation, along with a number of local Emergency Services leaders.

A vehicle simulator machine will be available for young drivers to have a go on, this experience usually includes driving the simulator while navigating through apps and messages on a phone under the guidance of Snr Constable Fishburn. It gives the driver a first-hand understanding of the danger of using a mobile phone while driving.

Snr Constable Fishburn also runs through the road rules that impact young drivers and answers questions from both child and parents/guardians.

Guest speakers share informative presentations highlighting the many dangers of driving, including intoxicated driving, distractions, speed and fatigue.

This year the event is hosted by local mothers who are passionate about educating Canungra’s youth in partnership with Canungra & District Community Bank and Canungra Show Society.

The Canungra Show Society have very generously donated lucky door prizes:

  • 1x $200 driving lesson voucher
  • 2x $100 Supercheap Auto vouchers
