JENNY Knight and Naomi Burton were two of a number of locals who competed in the in the Pan Pacific Games on the Gold Coast.
Jenny managed to win three gold medals in the indoor rowing at her second Pan Pacific Masters Games.
“I really enjoyed the experience and look forward to the next time,” Jenny said.
Andrew Jeffries also competed in the rowing coming home with one gold medal and two bronze.
Naomi, with her horse Winnie, won a gold medal in the 70-80cm jumping and a bronze medal in the 50-60cm.
“The feeling of winning is always a good feeling but this one was extra special,” Naomi said.
“We wanted to finish the year on 80cm, so to win a Masters gold medal at this height was amazing.
“I have owned Winnie for three years and no one else has ridden her in this time, she is all mine, and we share a great bond, mares are not always easy but do love their person.”
