Future Loggers
On Saturday July 30 this group of home-grown U13 legends took on Windaroo State School in their first ever game and were victorious 28-0. An amazing win and a staggering performance considering it came after only a few short weeks of intense training under the dedicated auspices of coach Mr Simon Foat.
Should some of the Loggers be worries about their positions in the team after this performance by the little tackers? As it turned out the Big Loggers won their game as well on the day.
The try scorers for the tackers were Jackson Campbell who stormed it with four tries and James Geiger, Henry Googe and Mitchell Virag who each scored one try each.
The record-setting win was brought about with some excellent forward tackling and outstanding play from the backs.
The first try by Jackson Campbell came about in only the third minute of the match.
A big thank you must go to Windaroo State School for travelling to Canungra for the game. A special acknowledgement must go the dedication of Mr Foat who gave his own free time to train the young fellas and organise the game.

Community garden gets a makeover
Canungra’s community garden will get a makeover as new caretakers Cassie Reed and Danielle King revitalise the Garden coming into Spring.
Located on Lamington National Park Road, behind the Canungra State School grounds, the community garden, known as Canungra Village Garden, was established in 2016 by a small group of volunteers.
