Steve Moriarty, who was President between 2007 and 2013, takes over as President for a second term, while Rickie Glocklersteps into the Secretary’s role after a stint as Assistant Secretary. Steve has a particular affinity with Moriarty Park, which is named for his family, who donated the land for community use in 1983.

Damian Watson takes on financial responsibility as Treasurer, Cameron Mansfield and past president, Bren Dalby, are the Vice Presidents, and Sascha Watson is the new booking agent.

Steve said the new committee has a nice blend of new faces with some experienced ‘old hands’ and thanked everyone for stepping into their roles with energy and enthusiasm.

“The new committee look forward to maintaining and upgrading the facilities at Moriarty Park for the benefit of all in the local community,” Steve said. “Projects currently underway include the construction of the new change rooms, with an upgrade to the skate park and resurfacing of the tennis courts planned once funds become available.”

“I would also like to acknowledge and thank Jodie Clifford who has managed the change room project from the beginning.”

Steve also acknowledged the work of the previous management committee, Peter and Julie Ulbrich, and Vicki Rayner, for their dedication to maintaining and improving the facilities at Moriarty Park.

“Community volunteering can be a time consuming, and at times thankless, task and we are grateful for all Peter, Julie and Vicki have done to keep Moriarty Park going,” Steve said.
