Wayne and Val Reiser are the Canungra Bowls Club 2024 Mixed Pairs Champions.
They played against Geoff and Donna Rixon in the Mixed Pairs final with an end result of 22 to 11.
Wayne and Val are valued members of the Club and are excellent bowlers.
Together they are a formidable team.
Wayne and Val are both frequently in the Club finals and have represented Canungra at the District Championships in the past.
In addition to their playing prowess, they are fantastic volunteers in the Club.
Wayne holds the position of Vice President, which he has done for a number of years, as well as pottering around the green helping to keep it in excellent condition.
Val often provides flowers for game days, produces the fabulous Christmas Puddings for the Club’s ‘Christmas in July’ event and helps to keep the flower beds tidy.
Wayne also steps in to manage the game days for the Club in conjunction with Peter Shoebridge.
Wayne recently received his ‘Super Veteran’ pin, acknowledging his recent ‘significant’ birthday.
Canungra Bowls Club says they are certain that every club wishes they had a ‘Wayne and Val’!
