The Canungra Times was established in 2005 by Stu Comley and bought in 2011 by Keer Moriarty.  It remains an independently owned and run newspaper with contributions by many of the town’s colourful characters and community leaders.

So for those who aren’t sure how things work at Canungra Times, the paper has a lot of community input for which I (Keer) am always extremely grateful, but I am the jack of all trades: journo, photographer, advertising salesperson, social media addict, cleaner and tea lady. And web designer…

We print 4,000 copies per month which are distributed on the first Friday of each month to Canungra, Beechmont, Tamborine Village, Tamborine Mountain and Beaudesert.  We also produce the popular Visit Canungra tourist map.

Our aim is to share the news of our district with residents and visitors and to promote local businesses and community groups – primarily the towns of Canungra, Beechmont and Tamborine Village.
