Beechmont Road has reopened after over a year of restoration works.
After severe weather caused the collapse and closure of a major embankment between North Road and Brushbox Road in late March 2022, a vast amount of stabilisation has been required above and below the road to safely restore access.
A TMR spokesperson said Gold Coast hinterland locals have patiently waited for the temporary single-lane side track to reopen to full road access.
“We are proud to have achieved this in the shortest time frame possible.”
TMR will be continuing its program of repairs at multiple weather damaged sites along Beechmont Road, with minor delays of up to five minutes at each site to be expected.
“We thank residents for their patience and support as we continue these important reconstruction works.”
