Canungra Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Turning Canungra Pink campaign raised a record $83,000.

This topped the 2021 record by $4,000 and brought the total funds raised since the initiative was inaugurated in 2011 to $350,000.

The outstanding result was celebrated with the presentation of cheques – each to the value of $41,740 – to Cancer Council Queensland and Pink Assist.

Canungra Law

Pink Assist, which provides support to local people who are being treated for cancer, was established in 2017 as part of Canungra Chamber of Commerce and is run solely by volunteers.

Chamber President, Nambok Intharangsy, said that 56 Canungra residents had now been helped by Pink Assist.

“The Chamber would like to thank everyone for their past support and is now looking forward to a bigger and better fundraiser in October this year.”
