Small business marketing made easy

Canungra Chamber of Commerce will host a free marketing workshop for small businesses on 20 July.

Held at the Canungra Bowls Club from 6pm, the workshop will focus on marketing to locals and will explore print and social media as well as discussion about what has worked for other local businesses.

Speakers on the night include Teri Sutherland of Crescent Co.

Teri is a brand and website designer who specialises in bold, principled branding. 

She uses her skills in marketing and design to help people transform their businesses.

Teri studied design at Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art. 

After working in Brisbane for a few years as a graphic designer, she moved to the UK and worked as a freelancer in Edinburgh for several years, soaking up art influences and learning all about marketing, brand and UX design. 

She moved back to Australia, founded her branding and web design studio, Crescent Co and now works with a range of local and global brands from her studio base in Canungra.

Local newspaper editor Keer Moriarty will give tips on pitching news stories to local media to increase your businesses’ profile, what makes a good ad and making the most of Canva.

Canungra Noticeboard administrator Stephen Pack will speak about utilising community pages to promote your business.

Denieka Osgood

Digital Marketing Consultant & Designer, Denieka Osgood from BID Marketing, will open the conversation about strategic social media marketing and management.

She will talk about creating a compelling online presence that sets your small businesses apart from the competition.

 Dedicated to empowering small businesses, Denieka is on a mission to drive growth and expand their online reach. By exploring innovative marketing strategies, she enables businesses to increase brand awareness, helping them to navigate the ever-changing digital landscape.

Representatives from local businesses, Michelle Roper-Dennis of My Country Escape and Nambok Intharangsy of Aquis Farm and Clandulla Cottages will give an overview of the marketing strategies that have worked for their businesses.

The free workshop starts at 6pm on Thursday 20 July at Canungra Bowls Club.  It will be followed by a free barbecue for all participants.
