Born in the UK, Stuart Comley worked in hospitality for many years before buying the Canungra Motel in 2000 He then started the Canungra Times in 2005. He has a great love for the town of Canungra and, now semi-retired, he spends time volunteering for the Tamborine Village Lions Club.
