The Littlest Bowler

Seven year old Steven Bird-Monk.

Bowlers came from across the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim for Canungra Bowls Club’s Aquis Farm’s Seafood Day.

The competition was fierce, but not too fierce for seven year old Steven Bird-Monk.

The keen young bowler played lead for the Burleigh Heads Club on the day, impressing everyone around him with his ability on the green.

Steven’s mum, Ali Bird, said he has been ‘rolling up’ since he could walk.

With both parents keen bowlers, this has been a great family pastime.

Steven played with his father at Canungra on Aquis Farm’s Seafood day.  He used the day as a warm up event for the Junior Championships which were played on 20 January at Toowoomba Bowls Club.

Canungra Bowls Club said they were grateful to Aquis Farm for their generous sponsorship of the day and thanked Aquis Farm representative,  Steve Geiger for presenting the winning teams with their prizes.
