The JPs in the Community Program is back, with JPs available next to Canungra Library every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm.
Three JPs including Peter Kent and Lyn Price (pictured) are on a roster system each week to sign and witness documents as part of this free service.
In 2003, the Justices of the Peace Branch formally established the JPs in the Community Program in Queensland.
This year celebrates 20 years since the Program’s commencement which supports over 3,500 JPs and Commissioners of Declarations.
The site next to Canungra Library is one of 232 locations where hard-working and dedicated volunteers give their time to provide consistent and reliable witnessing services.
In Queensland in 2022, 3,531 volunteers in the Program witnessed 1.86 million documents for over 624,000 clients.
