When Canungra local Donna Tunbridge, approached to Andrew Covino, Manager of the Outpost Café, about designing souvenir gifts, Andrew was all for it.

After being unable to find a suitable gift for one of her friends from America, Donna decided to create her own.

“I had a friend from America here and I though I should grab something for him to take home for his wife. I looked in all the stores in town, but I couldn’t find anything!” Donna says.

Donna has designed a 100% cotton tea towel, filled with all things Canungra.

A tractor, horse, pie and the Outpost Café are featured on the towel, along with her dog, Evie the kelpie.

The first tea towel was sold to a patisserie in Italy. The tea towels are available at the Outpost Café and BP service station for $25 each.

Each design is a limited edition and will only be printed 100 times before a new design is released.

“Get them while they’re hot,” says Donna.

Donna’s next design will be issued early 2024, keep an eye on the Canungra Times and Outpost Café social media for dates.
