Canungra’s first Festival of Small Halls was a great success – the food was delicious, performances incredible and the atmosphere welcoming.
The evening began with a performance by up-and-coming Scenic Rim musician Annabelle Johnson.
Monique Clare then graced the halls with her cello and haunting vocals.
Shane Pendergast was the last performance of the evening, showcasing his original maritime songs playing guitar and harmonica.
A combined performance by Monique and Shane wrapped the evening up.
Organiser Erin Finch said the evening raised $1,000 for a local family whose son has undergone medical treatment for a brain tumour.
“There is nothing quite like the power of live original music to bring a community together.”
“I’m eternally grateful to our community, sponsors, artists, volunteers and the Canungra Men’s Shed, without whom the Festival of Small Halls Canungra would not have been possible.”
