In an exhilarating match against Pacific Pines, the Canungra Owls Under 10 Green team showcased its prowess under the guidance of Supercoach 15-year-old Harvey Mahoney.
Linkin McConnell and Lincoln Mahoney set the tone in the opening minutes with exceptional teamwork, netting two quick goals. William Hammond followed suit, adding two more to the tally.
The Owls’ formidable defence, featuring Finn Davey, Leo Kelly, and Nathan Doherty, kept the ball predominantly in the attacking half.
Midfielders and strikers Oliver Collas, Huxley Mahoney, Eli Davey and Max Welch maintained the offensive momentum, paving the way for more goals.
At half-time, a strategic change saw Lincoln Phelps move from goalkeeper to midfield, where he dominated and scored several more goals for Canungra. Peyton Oliver took over goalkeeping duties in the second half and performed admirably, keeping the opposition at bay. The final score was 14-0.
