Carols in the Park was held at D J Smith Park this year, with the event providing the opportunity for the town to formally thank members of the Canungra Rural Fire Brigade for their service to the community.

Cr Virginia West and Moriarty Park President Bren Dalby presented Canungra Rural Fire Brigade members Steve Moriarty and Troy Livingstone with a gift for the Brigade on behalf of the community.

Talented Beaudesert based community choir, A-Choired Taste entertained the crowd with Christmas Carols and songs and the Canungra State School students also performed and some also joined in with A-Choired Taste’s performance.
