Under 9s team

U8 Yellow

On Saturday 10 June U8 Yellow team played at home against Musgrave.

All the boys played a great game working hard as a team. We all showed awesome sportsmanship and a drive to not give up in a very tough match. We are always supporting and cheering each other on. The player of the match went to Nash Millward for non-stop defence and the support of his teammates. Lots of fun was had by all!!

U6

U6 Canungra Owls played U6 Pimpama White on 10 June at Moriarty Park and what a close game it was.

The improvement throughout the year for the entire team has been nothing but amazing.

The whole team played exceptionally well, listening and playing together as a team.

U6 don’t take scores, but a special mention to Ayla Rigby who scored three goals and Parker Matthews who also scored a goal.

The twins Dusty and Duke Ostergaard have improved immensely throughout the year with Lara Windeatt and Finn Turner developing confidently.

Player of the match went to Josie Greenway for her listening, ball control and most of all her teamwork.

U6 is about developing skills, friendship and most of all fun, seeing all the kids wanting to continue to train and play is fulfilling as a coach.

U9 Yellow

Our Canungra Owls Under 9s won against Ormeau 2-0 on Saturday 10 June and what a game it was!

Each and every one of our players put their best foot forward with Axel Rigby, Cohen Collins, Mars Carter and Jack Windeatt attacking the ball at every opportunity they could. Making space up and down the field along with Ashton, Chanel Sharp and Jasmine Thompson who held our wings and centres together.

Defence was just as important in this game with Oliver Allard, Jack Tarver, Eli and Finn Davey each throwing their bodies on the line to make sure the other team didn’t score!

With great sportsmanship and team morale our Under 9s were such a joy to watch with everyone on the edge of their seats in tight minutes throughout the game!

U12 Green

On 10 June U12 Green Team played against Runaway Bay at home.

The mid-fielders Kayla Silcock, Noah Scott, Zahra Wickens, Daniel (surname withheld), Blake Scott and Brooklyn Kahika assisted in breaking up attacks and creating goals.

Our ever-improving defenders Ava Jackson, Bridget Voss and Kohan Richardson worked together to stop attacks and prevent Runaway Bay from scoring.

Our strikers Mitchell Patterson, Noah Smith and Casey Simpson continue to kick goals.  Goalies Will Teudtt and Corey Boradman played well to prevent the opposition from scoring.

The final score was 5-1, with Canungra taking home the win.

Player of the Day went to Casey, who played an amazing game.

A big shout out to Coach Mick Smith and Assistant Coach Rob Scott for training the kids to reach their full potential.

This side continues to improve each week.
