A small but dedicated band of volunteers joined in Clean Up Australia Day recently.
Organiser, Virginia West thanked all the residents who turned up to help clean up the streets around Moriarty Park, Lions Park and the Canungra Creek bank near the off leash dog park.
“Pleasingly there was less rubbish than last year, almost no cans, no syringes,” she said.
“The morning was a lot of fun, only an hour and again a very big thank you to you all who came to assist.”
