Check your postal vote application

Postal vote application

Local residents are concerned that voters may miss out on casting their vote after their applications for postal votes have gone astray.

Vicki Rayner said she and her husband Steve received a postal vote application attached to a flyer from Federal Member for Wright, Scott Buchholz.

“We filled in the application and posted it almost straight away,” she said.

That was three weeks ago.

When Vicki rang the Australian Electoral Commission today, they had no record of Steve’s or her application.

“I’m worried that people will miss out on voting or that they will get a fine if they don’t vote.”

The AEC recommended postal vote applications be made directly to the AEC via this link https://www.aec.gov.au/referendums/vote/postal-voting.html

Postal vote applications must be received by the AEC by 6pm today, Wednesday 11 October 2023.

To check if your postal vote application has been received, contact the AEC on 132 326 and press option 7.
