On Sunday 17 December the inaugural Ironhorse and Moto4 Christmas Charity Ride will take place.
Over 150 motorbike riders will make the journey from the Moto4 Motorbike Dealership to the Gold Coast hospital and then to the Canungra Hotel.
This charity ride collects toys, games and donations to deliver to the Gold Coast hospital children’s ward for Christmas.
On previous rides Christos Elizalde, Sales Manager at Moto4, has participated in, donations were used to provide the hospital with a special chair to make blood transfusions comfortable for the patient.
Chris says that the donations from this ride will be used for a similar purpose.
“Whatever the hospital needs, we’ll supply,” Chris says. “The goal of the ride is to make kids smile while they’re sitting in hospital at Christmas.”
“Let’s take this time to think about the kids and families who will be in hospital this Christmas and share the love!”
“Shawn Kelly and Bec Wootten, owners of dealership, and Brad James from Ironhorse motor sports have been the biggest backers of this ride,” says Chris.
Gifts can be dropped off at the Moto4 dealership, Nerang; the Canungra Hotel and the Hinterland Early Learning Centre.
If you wish to donate toys or games, or join the ride contact Chris on 0434 123 766.
Most of the riders will be dressed in Santa helmet covers and shirts.
If you want to see the sea of Santas riding through town, Chris says that they are aiming to come down Beasley Way and head to the Canungra Hotel between 11.30am-12noon.
