Former Beechmont State School student and keen golfer, Daniel Walters, won a Bronze Medal and closest to the pin, in a recent Special Olympics Golf Event, held over two days at Palm Meadows Golf Course on the Gold Coast.
Daniel has been learning golf for a couple of years and really enjoys the sport.
He normally plays at The Golf School on the Gold Coast.
This was Daniel’s first event of this kind, playing with and against a number of other golfers in competition.
The Special Olympics Golf Event was organised by Lee Harrington of The Golf School and Daniel Waltersattracted players and supporting volunteers from around South East Queensland.
