Beechmont resident, Denis Griffiths, is a retired Physical Education teacher and at 75 years of age, is showing no sign of easing down!
A natural athlete and competitor, Denis recently represented Nobbys Beach Surf Life Saving Club at the 2024 Life Saving World Championships at Kurrawa on the Gold Coast where he came away with three gold medals in the Masters one kilometre Beach Run, Beach Flags and Beach Sprint.
Denis has competed with distinction in surf life saving as far afield as Italy, New Zealand and South Africa, as well as all over Australia.
Also a member of the Beechmont Tennis Club, Denis’ next major event will be the Masters Athletics in November.
He is an inspiration to all who know him.
